Role and profile
Ross in an Associate Professor in the School of Psychology and a registered endorsed clinical psychologist with 25 years experience in public psychiatry, community and private practice settings. He is the Course Chair of the Master of Psychology (Clinical) course. He teaches across undergraduate, Honours, and Postgraduate levels in clinically related areas. In addition, he supervises the research of Honours, Clinical Masters, & higher degree (D Psych and PhD) students and provides clinical supervision to Master of Psychology (Clinical) students on placement.

Ross conducts research in eating disorders including the impact of carer interventions, risk factors and outcomes of disordered eating, and developing and testing models of disordered eating. He is also interested in the area of body image, particularly sociocultural influences on the development of body image disturbances. He also conducts research on areas related to professional practice of psychology such as burnout, dual relationship in rural areas.Awards and prizes
