Role and profile
Vanessa Sturre is a Lecturer and Placement Coordinator within the School of Psychology with specific expertise in organisational psychology. Vanessa manages the placement program for the Masters of Industrial and Organisational Psychology course which ensures post graduate students obtain practical and valuable experience in the field. She teaches and supervises students at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Vanessa Sturre is a registered psychologist with an endorsement in organisational psychology. Prior to joining Deakin University, Vanessa had over 10 years experience working for a management consulting firm providing expert organisational psychology advice and consultancy services to a range of organisations. Vanessa’s current research interests revolve around strategic improvement relating to student placements and the contribution they make to learning, employability, and graduate outcomes.

Vanessa maintains a wide business and student network to ensure effective relationships are developed and maintained between the University and the Community. Vanessa participates in University committees relating to placements as well as being a University representative on the College of Organisational Psychologists Committee.
