Alexa Kambouropoulos is a lecturer in the area of counselling and coaching in the School of Psychology and teaches in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. In addition, Alexa coordinates the clinical placements for the doctoral students (Clinical and Health) which equips them with a range of professional skills as well as develop their awareness of professional issues and conduct.

Alexa’s research interest includes counselling and teaching across cultures, international education and youth health and well being.
The research interest in youth well being has lead to a community grant which piloted a project that may aid in the development of youth self esteem. This was successfully completed and as an outcome of this, a community program for young people (Skillz Inc) has been formulated and is currently meeting the needs of young people in the City of Boroondara.
