Dr Shinkfield is a Research Fellow in the School of Psychology. She is an active researcher in the area of offender reintegration.


Alison Shinkfield is an active researcher in the area of offender reintegration. Her publications have focused on variables affecting successful reintegration of ex-prisoners, employment issues for disadvantaged groups, including ex-prisoners and offenders, and perceptual difficulties for individuals with an intellectual disability. Alison Shinkfield completed her PhD on the link between emotional state and the numerous variables affecting the process of community reintegration for ex-prisoners.
