Role and profile
Ciaran is a Lecturer in Psychology and co-ordinates the Doctor of Psychology Clinical Placements. She has substantial research and teaching experience in Clinical and Health psychology. She has published numerous research articles, particularly in the area of panic disorder, internet therapy and neurotransmitters associated with human anxiety. Ciaran also supervises fourth year and higher degree students.


Teaching Responsibilities
Ciaran teaches into several units of the Doctor of Psychology including Studies in Psychopathology, Interview and Intervention Skills and Case Analysis Seminar. Additionally, she teaches Psychopathology at 3rd year level and Health Topics within the Graduate Diploma. She also supervises student research projects and Doctor of Psychology placements.


Research Interests
Ciaran’s particular research interests include cognitive, emotional and behavioural aspects of anxiety disorders, internet-delivery of cognitive behavioural therapy within community and general practice settings and the association between cardiovascular disease and depression.
