As a Language and Learning Skills Adviser, Dr Margaret Kumar's special emphasis is on providing academic support for Higher Degree by Research candidates, both local and international. Her PhD study on the discursive representation of international students' makes a major contribution to this research field. Margaret's research interests cover an academic background and a support services role. In this way she provides a theoretical base for the teaching of strategies and skills to enhance student learning. She has a broad range of interests, including:
