Major research activities
Obesity Research Groups
The WHO Centre has several established research groups working on specific aspects of obesity prevention: Community-Based Interventions, Socio-cultural Studies, Health Economics of Obesity, and Food Policy Research.

CO-OPS Collaboration
The WHO Centre hosts the national Collaboration Community-based Obesity Prevention Sites (CO-OPS Collaboration) which provides network, training and knowledge translation services for community-based programs.

Advocacy for obesity prevention
The WHO Centre is involved in a number of groups which are advocating for improved policies, programs, social marketing, monitoring, research and evaluation for obesity prevention.

International activities
The WHO Centre is involved in many international activities related to obesity prevention including collaborative research projects, research networks, WHO activities, and involvement in global organisations.
