Promising Food Policy Directions: Linking with Climate Change Policies

Mark provided a broad perspective on issues around food policies particularly concerns that there is currently a short-term, disjointed approach. Noted the synergies with environmental sustainability. He demonstrated the importance of consumer pressure to drive political will. Mark proposed the importance of challenging different levels of government and industry to work cross-sectorally. He also noted the importance of thinking broadly in terms of evidence-based practice and using a variety of sources of evidence.
