HR Staff Development Program

The Human Resources Division offers a range of development opportunities to all staff.

We do this through:

  • Short courses available via the Staff Devlopment Program Calendar
  • Tailored development and consultancy activities
  • 'On demand' courses

The list below outlines the courses to be offered through the Staff Development Program Calendar in 2012. Courses will be added to the calendar as the year progresses. To nominate for any course, please refer below.

How do i nominate for a course?

  • Calendared courses
    Register for scheduled courses via StaffConnect. Detailed information about each course (e.g. date, time, venue, course content etc) can be found on StaffConnect or the Staff Development Calendar (2012 Calendar available shortly). 
    • How to nominate for a course via StaffConnect (4 MB) 
    • Please note: Your nomination must be approved by your supervisor/manager. To allow other staff members the opportunity to attend training courses there is a limit of 4 people from each team that can attend each Staff Development course. 
  • Courses on demand
    We will advise you on options to meet your needs, including "on demand" courses, which are run when minimum numbers are reached. Please contact us on 68166, or email training@deakin.edu.au.

*Please note:

  • The technology courses are PC only classes and do not cater for Mac users. If you are a Mac user, please contact the Staff Development Team on extension 68166.
  • The Web Services group in the Marketing Division also offer web training sessions.
