Applying for the IELTS test
Our registration hours are:
Monday - CLOSED
Tuesday - Friday: 9am - 3:30pm
Applications will only be processed during these times.
PLEASE NOTE:
Due to a high demand for IELTS there may be a long wait in the registration queue. While we endeavour to process all registrations, the queue closes at 3:30pm. Anyone joining the queue at or after these times will not be processed.
The centre does not accept applications by post. Candidates must register in person at the address below.
*Candidates living in rural areas of Victoria may send a postal application - please contact the Deakin IELTS Test Centre for more information.

What do I need to bring?
Applicants registering for the IELTS test are required to bring:
- a completed IELTS test application form (762 KB) (Application forms are also available at the centre.)
- a completed GST Declaration Form (61 KB)
- a current passport
- two identical Australian Standard passport-sized photos (these must be recent photos - less than six months old). Candidates are reminded that they must not wear glasses in their photos. Photos that do not meet the requirements will not be accepted. (Refer to photograph guidelines before you apply.)
- Money Order or Bank Cheque for the test fees payable to "Deakin University". Payments can also be made by EFTPOS and Credit Card. Please note we do not accept Cash, Personal Cheques or American Express.
