Community engagement

Across our four regions Deakin engages with our local communities in a number of positive and mutually beneficial ways. We actively support and contribute to the social, economic and cultural fabric of our local communities through our teaching, learning and research, our corporate education and partnership activities, sponsorship and our work integrated learning programs.

Communities: Melbourne

From the very heart of Metropolitan Melbourne, to the south eastern suburbs surrounding our Melbourne Burwood Campus, Deakin is committed to delivering mutually beneficial community-university programs, activities and initiatives to strengthen and enhance the communities we serve.

Communities: Geelong

In the regional city where Deakin University began we continue our tradition of strong collaborations and partnerships with local government and business to help Geelong grow and prosper.

Communities: Warrnambool

In Warrnambool we foster connections with our local dairy industry, participate in cross-sector groups looking at sustainability and innovation as well as strategic regional development.

Communities: Western Metropolitan Melbourne

Deakin is committed to developing lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with its stakeholders in western metropolitan Melbourne.
