Deakin University is delighted to support the City of Greater Geelong's M~M2014 - Geelong's extreme arts walk and the associated event Geelong After Dark. The M~M2014 is a walkathon with a twist. Held over two days on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10, this event will see people walk more than 85km across the municipality of Geelong from the Big Rock at the You Yangs to the mouth of the Barwon River in Barwon Heads. With the event split into 12 stages, each ranging in length from two to 14 kilometres, people of all ages and abilities are encouraged to get involved and walk either one section - or the entire length!
Geelong After Dark on Friday evening on the waterfront serves as a creative interval featuring performances, installations and is a fully inclusive community event, as well as marking the break for all walkers before they recommence on Saturday morning. Register now and you will receive your welcome pack and full details on the walk, Geelong After Dark and the many ways you can help the Karingal Foundation raise funds for fully inclusive community projects.
