The Deakin Art Gallery is a dynamic exhibition space showcasing prominent and emerging artists on a regularly rotating exhibition program. The gallery frequently hosts free artist talks, demonstrations and tours, and is complemented by an impressive collection of contemporary public sculptures located throughout the campus grounds.
Deakin has also established partnerships with the City of Whitehorse, through its Whitehorse Art Space, and the City of Greater Geelong, through the Geelong Art Gallery, enabling collaborative and curatorial projects, artwork loans and cross promotion of exhibitions.

Our modern and well-resourced library at the Melbourne Burwood Campus is a wonderfully rich asset open to all members of the community. Everyone is welcome to visit and utilise our facilities.
Those who wish to borrow materials and access selected online resources are invited to sign up and become a 'community member' of the library.

The Melbourne Burwood Campus boasts plenty of welcoming dining options, including 'grab & go' outlets, cafes, bistros and restaurants. Two of the eight cafes are fully licenced, so check out Sage or FooMoo for a Friday night drink. Whether it's your morning coffee, lunch alongside the popular Gardiners Creek trail, or something more leisurely after a visit to our gallery or library, there's plenty on offer.
Raise a sweat at our gym
The DeakinACTIVE at our Melbourne Burwood Campus has been meeting the health and fitness needs of the community since 2006 through the Burwood Fitness Centre.
Develop your body, mind and spirit in a welcoming gym environment. We cater for all ages and all levels of fitness and offer personal training, boot camp, fitness classes and court hire to the public.
