Using our facilities

The Melbourne Burwood Campus is home to many services and facilities available for our local community to visit and use.

Deakin University Art Gallery

Centrally located on the Burwood Campus, the Deakin University Art Gallery offers staff, students and local community members alike a vibrant, regularly changing free exhibition program of prominent and celebrated artists, and regularly hosts free artist talks, demonstrations and tours. The popular Gallery is complimented by an impressive collection of contemporary public sculpture located throughout the campus grounds, as shown in our self-guided Burwood Campus Sculpture Walk, download the map here or pick one up in the Gallery.

The Deakin Art Collection and Galleries has established partnerships with the City of Whitehorse (through its Whitehorse Art Space) and the City of Greater Geelong (through the Geelong Art Gallery). These ongoing partnerships include collegiate and professional links, community engagement and collaborative curatorial projects, artwork loans and cross promotion of our exhibitions.
