Regional Victoria Living Expo

14th April 2014

A new record of 9,638 Melburnians attended the recent 2014 Regional Victoria Living Expo at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Expo is an ongoing Victorian Coalition Government initiative to drive population and investment into regional and rural Victoria.

For visitors considering a move from the city the Expo provided a valuable forum to showcase the exciting work that Deakin does in the regional communities of Warrnambool and Geelong.

Premier Denis Napthine visits the Deakin Hub.

In conversations with visitors the Warrnambool & Geelong Community Relations managers were able to highlight not only study options but Deakin's contribution to regional education, regional health, the regional economy, the careers market and our support of community endeavours in the realms of sport, art and culture and health, fitness and well-being. The overall message is always around Deakin's integration with our communities and the huge beneficial impact of the University from Werribee to the South West.
