Internationalisation at Deakin University


The International Relations Office (IRO) is responsible for the establishment, monitoring and ongoing management of all partnerships and agreements between Deakin University and international organisations, as well as institution-wide partnerships with Australian institutions.

The IRO has particular responsibility for partnerships and agreements in the following areas:

  • offshore teaching
  • course licensing
  • student exchange and study abroad
  • outgoing international study experience programs
  • incoming study tours
  • general academic collaboration
  • TAFE alliances.

The IRO also prepares credit for prior learning and articulation agreements where these are required by the national or institutional policy framework of another country.

Deakin University acknowledges the traditional land owners of present campus sites.
