Vocational and Technical Education
Deakin University has core commitments to rural and regional engagement, as well as equity and access for individuals and groups who might not otherwise enjoy the benefits that flow from participation in higher education. As such, Deakin works closely with four strategic vocational and technical education partners located in proximity to its campuses in metropolitan, regional and rural Victoria:
- Box Hill Institute of TAFE and Holmesglen Institute of TAFE in eastern Melbourne
- Gordon Institute of TAFE in Geelong, and
- South West Institute of TAFE in Warrnambool.
As well as its four strategic partners, Deakin also has a range of agreements for collaboration in specific fields with other institutions in the vocational and technical education sector.
