iLecture guides

The iLecture service is Deakin's lecture capture and online delivery system. It is a valuable teaching and learning service for many staff and students, providing audio and video recordings via streamed files, downloads and podcasts.

iLecture recorders have been installed into a number of venues and are able to capture video and audio sources controlled by the lectern AV control panel. e.g. PC , document camera, DVD , VCR, room cameras (where available) and microphones.

The process of having a lecture recorded involves scheduling lecture times into the iLecture system, which automatically records the lecture, compresses the recording into various formats and makes it available on the iLecture server. The lecturer can then create a link to the iLecture recording from within their DSO site.
