Evermore, academic teachers across the faculties create learning designs for blended learning environments. Deakin's eSimulation frameworks are not "off-the-shelf products", rather they have emerged naturally from a range of disciplines each with varied student cohorts and dynamic educational settings. The eSimulations add flexibility of place, time and pace to the physical and virtual learning environments, promoting rich experiential, constructivist learning.
Curriculum design, instructional design, multimedia design, message design, graphic design, interface design, etc. have been driven by all things 'digital' to a new form of 'Education Design Science', premised on new theories of knowledge and of the 'coming to know' and being 'able to do'. The eSimulations created by faculty teachers respond uniquely to the needs of our students and the professions and work-places to which they expect to contribute.
