Institute of Teaching and Learning

Professional Development for Teaching and Learning

Teaching and learning modules

The Institute has a suite of online professional and academic development modules, grouped according to the Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) criteria for 'good' teaching.

The online professional development modules are organised by criteria 1-5 which are the ALTC domains of teaching excellence used in judging national teaching award applications. Criterion 6 has been added separately given the importance of e-supported learning to Deakin. The online PD modules are organised into generalist and specialist categories. If you are looking for general introductions to topics click on relevant PD Generalist module links; if you're interested in more focussed, in-depth treatments of topics click on relevant PD Specialist Module links.
