The online professional development (PD) and training offerings are organised by criteria 1-5 which are the Carrick Institute of Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (now the Australian Learning and Teaching Council) domains of teaching excellence used in judging national teaching award applications. Criterion 6 has been added separately given the importance of e-supported learning to Deakin. The online PD modules are organised into generalist and specialist categories.
