What follows is a collection of ideas for academics who are new to, or inexperienced at, teaching in small tutorial class environments.
The module adopts a narrative format, following the experiences of a new academic who teaches both in lectures and tutorials. As such, it encourages the reader to reflect on these experiences and to investigate ideas that may align with his/her own approach to conducting tutorials.
This module is designed to accompany and complement the Effective Lecturing at Deakin University module also available in the Professional Development section of the Institute of Teaching and Learning website.
