- About Deakin
Deakin University has affiliations with Lenovo, Volante, Computers Now, Telstra and Microsoft. These affiliations allow Deakin students and staff the opportunity to take advantage of some great information technology offers.
In a collaboration between two of our technology partners Samsung and Telstra we are now able to offer a "Deakin only deal" on the purchasing of a Samsung GALAXY Tab 8.9 4G. This is a limited time only deal and is the first of what will be many specials provided to Deakin staff and students from these partners.
The Lenovo computer offer allows Deakin University students, staff, family and friends to obtain discounts on the entire range of Lenovo notebook and desktop PCs, monitors and accessories through the Deakin University Personal Purchase Program.
Students and staff can obtain the education discount on certain Apple products purchased from the Apple online store. Students can purchase Apple products with the education discount at the Computers Now store at RMIT. Staff can also obtain the discount when purchasing from any Computers Now store.
The Telstra BigPond Broadband offer provides the Deakin community with cost effective access to broadband technology with the added benefit of all traffic between the registered location and Deakin University being automatically unmetered.
Microsoft is offering Deakin University students the opportunity to purchase Microsoft Office Professional Academic 2010 (including Word 2010, Excel 2010, PowerPoint 2010, Outlook 2010, OneNote 2010, Publisher 2010 and Access 2010), which normally sells for over AU$850, for just AU$99. This is known as the 'It's not cheating offer'.
