Information Technology Security Awareness is understanding what we can all do to keep the Deakin IT infrastructure safe from potential hazards. Many of the risks and solutions described here also apply to your home computing environment.
Deakin University takes the threat of attack to its network and online facilities very seriously. While the University is in the fortunate position of having a desktop management system for laboratory and staff workstations it is still at risk from viruses and hackers due to the way in which Deakin staff and students use their computers.
As you are part of Deakin University it is your responsibility to ensure that you take precautions against possible hazards. This program is designed to show you how to take the necessary steps to protect yourself and the University from these potential hazards.
There are two parts to this program:
