- About Deakin
Printers are provided for staff in a number of locations across all University campuses. Each Faculty, Institute and Other Area assesses their own printer needs and decides on what to purchase from a pre-tested set of Lexmark and Canon printer models. The Deakin University Printer Scheme (DUPS) website lists printer device options.
All University Lexmark printers that were purchased after August 2009 and some printers purchased prior to this date (as determined by each business area) for the purpose of staff printing are covered by the Lexmark total care service which includes provision of replacement consumables such as toner cartridges and maintenance kits as well as onsite servicing when an internal error occurs. Note that errors that appear on the device display are not considered internal and require a customer-initiated call to Lexmark for assistance.
