Software
This service provides software that is licensed for educational purposes for Deakin staff to install on University owned workstations and for staff and students to install on personally owned workstations. This service also manages University owned software including making it available in computer laboratories for student use.
Software provided under this service is available on a Software Essentials DVD that is produced prior to Trimester 1 each year. These DVDs are sent to new students and are also available from many locations around campus including Faculty offices and the Libraries.
ITSD run a program that installs software in the computer laboratories for student use. For more information about regular software installations under this program, please visit the IT Events Managements web page.
ITSD aims to achieve 99% availability of the software website each calendar month.
