The Copyright Primer is a quick reference guide to using third-party copyright material in: face-to-face teaching; exams - including assignments; study materials; research & publication; other situations (public lecture / commercial course / promotional / websites).

Remember:

• early consideration of copyright is essential, especially when permissions are required
• always provide full citation for third-party content - collect the information at source
• document copyright permissions and provide a copy to KMD
• the Copyright in Courseware policy specifies arrangements with external consultants for the copyright ownership of course materials.
