Grants
The Office for Learning and Teaching administer funding for the following grants:
- Innovation and Development Program
- Leadership for Excellence in Learning and Teaching Program
- Seed Projects
- Extension Grants
Deakin Learning Futures runs an internal endorsement process before submission to the Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT).
Please note: The OLT will only accept applications endorsed by the Institutional Contact Officer (ICO).
Round 1 2014
The OLT have advised the submission date for Round 1 2014 is Friday 8 November 2013. The internal process is well underway and applicants should have advised the Deakin ICO of their intention to submit. Teaching and Learning Awards
The Deakin University Learning Awards offer the following annual awards:
- The Vice Chancellor's Award for Teacher of the Year (individual only, one award per year)
- The WJC Banks Award for Distinguished Contributions to Teaching and Learning (individual or team, one award per year)
- The Jim and Alison Leslie Award for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching and Learning (individual or team, one award per year)
- Deakin Award for Teaching Excellence (individual or team, up to 9 awards per year).
Applications are encouraged from both individuals and teams and all applicants are strongly encouraged to provide evidence of achievement within a course or major.

The Office for Learning and Teaching offer the following annual awards:
- Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning
- Awards for Programs that Enhance Learning
- Awards for Teaching Excellence
To be eligible to apply for an Office for Learning and Teaching Citation, Teaching Excellence or Program award you must be nominated from a pool which includes nominations from Associate Deans (Teaching and Learning), Heads of School, Directors of Divisions and other senior staff across the university. Teaching and Program award nominees will be invited to provide an Expression of Interest which are then reviewed and sent to the DVC (E) for endorsement, the nominee is then invited to continue with the application.
The Learning Research and Evaluation team within Deakin Learning Futures provides assistance at every stage of the awards process, including; providing a mentor, peer review of the written statement, proof reading, timely advice regarding milestones and deadlines, final document formatting, upload to OLT and other general support to make the process as streamlined as possible.

Fellowships
In 2013 the Office for Learning and Teaching offered up to 4 National Senior Teaching Fellowships and up to 6 National Teaching Fellowships.
The Fellowships program is aimed at advancing 'learning and teaching in higher education by supporting leading educators to undertake strategic, high-profile activities in areas of importance to the sector.' (http://www.olt.gov.au/fellowships)

Mentors
