This collection covers the areas of general statistics, economics, insurance, communications, accounting, finance, management, marketing, tourism management, human resource management, management information systems, project management and advertising, and public relations.

Purpose of the collection

The Library collects in the field of Business, Finance, Economics and Management primarily to support the teaching and research needs of the School of Accounting, Economics and  Finance, the School of Management and Marketing, the School of Information Systems and the Deakin Graduate School of Business within the Faculty of Business & Law.
Resources in this area are also used to varying degrees by other Schools in the University, including the School of Life & Environmental Sciences (ecotourism), the Schools of Engineering & Information Technology (management of information systems) and School of International & Political Studies (economics and international relations) and the Melbourne Institute of Business and Technology (MIBT).

A wide range of books available as hardcopy and /or ebook format is available as are journals in both formats.

Major online databases such as ABI/INFORM Global , Business Source Complete, Emerald Management Extra , EconLit, Computers & Applied Sciences Complete , Expanded Academic ASAP, Factiva, Global Market Information Database, IBIS World , FinAnalysis , DatAnalysis, Tax and Accounting online and Informit databases, provide access to a range of information.
