This division covers the general principles of mathematics, algebra and number theory, arithmetic, topology, analysis, geometry and probabilities and applied mathematics.
The Library collects in the field of Mathematics to support the teaching and research needs of the School of Engineering within the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment. Resources in this area are also used to varying degrees by other Schools in the Faculty of Science & Technology, the Faculty of Business and Law, and in the School of Education.
The Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment offers an undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Science, with a major sequence in mathematical modelling.
The School of Education offers the Bachelor of Education (Primary) with core discipline units and primary curriculum units in mathematics, and the various Bachelor of Teaching degrees have the option of undertaking curriculum studies in mathematics. Postgraduate coursework Education degrees offer the option of curriculum studies in mathematics.
The Faculty of Business and Law offers an undergraduate degree with a major sequence in quantitative business analysis.
