This collection covers natural sciences (general material), astronomy & allied sciences, physics, mechanics, sound, light, heat, electricity & electronics, magnetism, and metrology & standardization.

Purpose of the collection

The Library collects in this field to support the teaching and research needs of the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment generally, the School of Engineering and the School of Life and Environmental Sciences specifically..

Users/courses supported by the collection

The School of Engineering in the Faculty of Science & Technology offers undergraduate degrees, Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronics and Robotics).

Major online databases such as Applied Science and Technology Abstracts, Academic Search Complete, Compendex, Web of Knowledge, SciVerse and IEEExplore provide access to a range of information.

Selection Notes:

The broad area of Natural Sciences are applicable at Melbourne, Geelong at Waurn Ponds and Warrnambool. Specific other areas of interest are located at Geelong at Waurn Ponds.
