Who are Liaison Librarians?
Liaison Librarians your key library contact for teaching and research support. They have subject expertise in one or more discipline areas and can quickly source new information.
They can advise you of the full range of Library services and direct you to other experts in the Library.
Liaison Librarians are available:
- during Librarian-in-Residence, at your Faculty location each week
- for individual assistance, weekdays by arrangement
- in person at your campus Library or by phone or email.
Liaison Librarians can:
- advise you of services and resources relevant to teaching in your discipline
- show you how to link to databases, e-books, journal articles, and e-readings, and embed video and images into CloudDeakin
- create and update Library Resource Guides in CloudDeakin to assist your students in locating resources, and more!
Who are Research Librarians?
Research Librarians provide high level support for Deakin’s research community, by
- managing, developing, delivering and evaluating targeted services
- providing tailored and targeted individual and group support.
- assisting with training and support of HDR students and researchers
- supporting Library outreach activities to faculties by participating in the librarian in residence program.
