Role:

To lead and manage the Library's client services provided to students and staff of Deakin University and its affiliates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, direct and manage client services provided by the University Library through leading staff, contributing to operational plans, reporting on operational targets, and implementing new services.
  • Provide advice to the University Librarian / Executive Director, Academic Support on policies and services by monitoring developments in higher education, participating on University committees, and building partnerships within the university and wider community.
  • Ensure that client services are of the highest standard, services and resources are aligned with customer needs, and through monitoring human, physical and financial resources that services are effective and efficient.
  • Ensure the implementation of all relevant University policies and plans, in particular those relating to EEO, Disability Discrimination, OHS, Teaching and Learning, and Research.
