Liaison Service:

To manage and develop innovative and responsive Library and information services for the faculty and lead the strategic development and promotion of Library services supporting teaching and learning.

Key Objectives of the Liaison Service:

  • Faculty: Manage the provision and evaluation of library and information services and resources to ensure their relevancy to the teaching, learning and research needs of the Faculty.
  • Liaison and Transition: Co-ordinate and oversee library programs that support the student life-cycle from transition to graduation and lead the implementation of new services.
  • CloudDeakin: Lead ongoing development and review of the Library’s support for flexible education utilising the University’s learning management system
  • Information Assistance: Ensure the quality assurance of Information Assistance Services and identify strategic initiatives to further support the diversity of students and the University’s flexible education imperatives.
  • Planning: Contribute to the development of the Library’s planning and decision-making processes within the context of the University’s planning framework.
  • Policy:  Ensure the implementation of all relevant University policies, in particular those relating to staff development, staff performance planning and review, occupational health and safety, and equal opportunity.
  • To ensure the implementation of all University policies that relate to the areas for which the position is responsible, in particular, those relating to equal opportunity, occupational health and safety, risk management, staff development and staff performance planning and review.
