If you live close to one of our campuses, you can borrow items in person. 

You will need to use your Deakin Card. Contact Deakin Central to get one.

You can also return items in person, to any of our campus libraries.

Overseas return delivery

If you are studying with us, but living abroad - we can post your books to you. 

To return items, please use airmail, and send to:

  • Library Delivery Service, Deakin University Library, Locked bag 20,000, Geelong, Victoria, Australia 3220.

To be reimbursed the postage fee, send a separate copy of your receipt to:

  • iccr@deakin.edu.au, or
  • Library Delivery Service, Deakin University Library, Locked bag 20,000, Geelong, Victoria, Australia 3220.

The receipt should contain:

  • the cost of postage in local currency
  • the Deakin University Library delivery address

Reimbursements can be:

  • deposited into an Australian bank account
  • sent as an overseas draft (additional fee of $2.50)
  • a telegraphic transfer to your overseas bank account (additional fee of $25 or more)

The Library cannot reimburse costs paid on customs duty.
