Renew

Deakin University students and staff can renew loans from wherever it suits you when you borrow from our library.

• Go to My Library on our homepage and login using your Deakin username and password
• Click on items currently checked out
• Use the Sort by due date tab
• Select the items you want to Renew
• Once you have completed your selections, click the Renew Selected tab or you have the option to Renew All if you want to
• You won't be able to renew loans that other people have placed a 'hold' on. If an item has a hold on it the renewal will not be granted and a red 'on hold' alert will display in the status field. Please return these items as soon as possible.

Why can’t I renew my loans/books?

• You might not be able to renew your loans if there are problems related to your library record.

You can renew all your loans yourself except:

• Items on hold
• Reserve items (2 hour loans)
• 1 day loan items
• Equipment
• Interlibrary loans.

Return

• You can return loans to any of our campuses. After-hours return chutes are located at each campus library
  

• Off-campus students can return loans using our supplied prepaid postpaks

• We recommend that overseas off-campus students return loans by airmail not courier, unless otherwise arranged. Receipts should be sent separately.

Loans not returned or renewed by the due date may lead to problems with your library record.
