Equipment

Print, copy and scan

Multi-function printers are available at all campus libraries to copy, print and scan material.

Print and photocopy

Your Deakin Card is used for photocopying and printing in the Library. You can add money to your Deakin Card through Deakin Card reload stations.

You can access your printing at any printer located on your campus by swiping your Deakin Card at the preferred printer.

Visitors and Deakin Alumni may purchase a Visitor Deakin Card from the Deakin Card reload stations for the cost of $5 ($2 for the card and $3 worth of credit). Cards can be reloaded as required.

Photocopying microfilm and microfiche: 30 cents per A4 page.

Scan

You can scan both black and white and coloured images to your Deakin email address at no cost.

Copyright

All copying must be conducted in strict compliance with the Copyright Act 1968. Details are displayed in the Library.  Further information on copyright responsibilities is available on the Deakin University Copyright site.

Computers and wireless networking

Computers and internet access are available in all campus libraries. Connect to the wireless networked environment if you have your own laptop or device.

Laptop computers are available for a 2 hour loan at the Melbourne Burwood Campus Library. Please ask staff at the Library service desk for more information.

Digital equipment for loan

Digital equipment is available for loan by staff and students for Deakin University educational or research purposes only. Brief instructions are supplied with each device.

Items must be returned to the Library service desk at the campus where the item was borrowed.

Details: each Kindle comes loaded with a number of fiction, non-fiction and reference titles.

Please note:

Equipment cannot be requested from another campus, have holds placed on them, or be sent off-campus. Any damages will be charged at full repair or replacement cost.
