This collection covers nursing, human anatomy and physiology, public health, pharmacology, gynaecology and obstetrics, diseases, surgery, dentistry, forensic medicine and alternative medical treatments.

Purpose of the collection

The Library collects in the field of Medicine primarily to support the teaching and research needs of the Faculty of Health, Medicine, Nursing and Behavioural Sciences.
Resources in this area are also used in varying degrees by Schools within the Faculty of Science & Technology.

Users/sources supported by the collection

From 2008 the university will offer a four-year Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery degree.
