It takes more than the ability to use Google to complete an excellent academic assignment. At university, your lecturers expect you to use information that’s authoritative and reliable, but not necessarily what you’d find through the quick use of an Internet search engine. The Library is a vital resource for books, articles and other quality resources for your research and assignments.
Join other students during July 14 - 18 as part of Week Zero - your orientation week at Deakin - and participate in Library orientation. Library tours and workshops will be available as part of a one day University orientation program running at each campus. Program outlines are listed below.
Library tours will also be available at the Melbourne campus at Burwood Library at 11.00am, 12.00pm, and 1.00pm on Monday 21st, Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd July. If you can't make it to a tour remember that Library help is always available and at all campus libraries. When you are in the library look out for the student rovers in their red I'm here to help t-shirts, or ask at a Library Service Desk.
