"He's still on deck and going strong
Up in the Courts of old Geelong -
His head great brain doth carry;
He's given many people shocks,
When he's had them in the box -
'Tis hot stuff then is Harry."

The "Truth" newspaper of 6/6/1913 summed up Henry Crawcour's energy and legal skill in this verse.  Crawcour's own verse, illustrated by his daughter revealed his whimsical side.  He kept cutting books of his writings, school reports, newspaper reports of his cases, records of events when he was president of the Geelong Law Association and the like.  Fortunately his son Jack Athol Crawcour gave permission for copies to be made for this collection.  H.I. Crawcour was ahead of his time when he engaged an entirely female staff when most legal offices held males only as principals and few females as staff.
