BONUS+ searching

The Bonus logo scheme gives you access to over 2 million items from participating BONUS+ libraries. This page provides BONUS+ requesting and borrowing information.

To search the BONUS+ catalogue and request an item, simply:

  1. Search Deakin University's Library catalogue.
  2. If the book is not listed, or is out on loan, click onto Bonus logo search the BONUS+ catalogue.

  3. Select Request This Item.

  4. Select Deakin University Library.

  5. Enter your details:
    1. Surname.
    2. Library number (X011...) (under the barcode on your Deakin card).
    3. Enter your PIN.
    4. Select a pickup/delivery location.
      • On Campus students should select their preferred campus pick up location, and will be notified when the item is available for collection.
      • Staff should select a campus location for internal mail delivery.
      • Off Campus students should select "Off Campus Delivery" and the item will be delivered by mail.
      • Books will not be sent to overseas students
    5. Submit

The book you have requested will be delivered to Deakin University Library within 2 - 4 days.


Renew a BONUS+ book

You can renew a BONUS+ book once, as long as there are no other requests for it.

Check my BONUS+ requests

You may check the status of your BONUS+ requests by viewing your library record through MY LIBRARY.

  1. Type your family name, Library ID # (the number starting X011.. underneath the barcode on your Deakin Card) and your Library PIN.
  2. The items you have on loan will be displayed.
  3. If you notice that an item has a status that states RECV 'D, then it is ready for collection.

Cancel a BONUS+ request

If an item still has a REQUESTED status, you may cancel the request, through MY LIBRARY

  1. Type your family name, Library ID # (the number starting X011..) and your Library PIN.
  2. The items you have requested will be displayed.
  3. Tick the box next to the title of the item you want to cancel, and then select CANCEL.
