Borrowing theses
Most university libraries do not lend their theses, though we will make a request. Often to obtain a thesis, a copy will have to be purchased and added to the Library collection. To request that the Library purchase a title, please contact your Liaison Librarian.
It is recommended to do a search of the ProQuest Dissertations and Theses Full Text database if you are looking for a particular theses. The database provides full text and extended abstracts of many theses from the USA and internationally, and you may find the required title available there.
If you do not find a full text copy online, and either want a copy to be added to our Library collection, (or you may want to consider buying a thesis personally) then purchase via ProQuest Dissertations and Theses Full Text is an option. Cost for a PDF copy ranges from approximately $US50.00 upwards. Other formats, at varying costs, are also available.
Print theses authored by Deakin University researchers are available for loan to other Australian and overseas libraries.
