Requesting a book

To request an item through Interlibrary Loan:

1. Use the Advanced Search to enter your search terms and select GO! Use quotation marks for titles. e.g. "summer of the seventeenth" will produce a more specific search result than summer of the seventeenth alone.

2. On the Search Results page, click on the Title link to go to the details of the item, and select Get it! to Request itmake a request.

3. The Request Item page will open, with the bibliographic details of the item, select Request.

4. If you require a chapter from a book, enter the details onto the form, and check the Copy radio button, and Request.

5. If you find that the item is held in the Deakin University Library collection, you will be required to either collect it from the shelves, or place a hold on it, using the >Request option in the Library Catalogue.

6. When the item has been received by the Deakin University Library, an Email Alert will be sent to you, notifying you when the item will be available for pick-up or sent to you.
