Role:

To liaise with researchers to ensure that the Library is responsive to the needs of the Deakin University research community and to coordinate the Library’s support to researchers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor the Library’s advocacy and educative programs to support researchers
  • Initiate and maintain high level relationships with researchers in designated Faculties and Schools to ensure that the Library has relevant programs, services and resources in place to meet their needs
  • Collaborate with researchers to develop high quality research collections
  • Develop, deliver and evaluate instructional programs to meet researchers’ needs in a flexible learning environment
  • Collaborate with key staff across the Library and University to develop research support services and methods of service delivery
  • Contribute to the University’s strategic priorities and the Library’s action plans by participating in and leading designated projects related to research
  • Responsible for ensuring implementation of al relevant University policies in particular those relating to equal opportunity, occupational health and safety, staff development and staff planning and performance review.
