What is Encore and why should I use it?
Encore provides Deakin Library clients with a new way of searching the Library's resources. Use Encore when you need to do a broad search to see what resources the Library has on a topic. You will find that Encore's search results make it easy to refine your search to help you find exactly what you want.
Will Encore replace the catalogue?
No. Continue to use the catalogue when you want to do a non-keyword search, e.g. Author, Title, or ISBN, or if you need to apply limits to your search.
Does Encore search the same resources as the catalogue?
At the moment, yes. But soon, you will be able to use Encore to simultaneously search both the catalogue and selected databases, all with the one search.
