These databases and online resources are available for a limited time for evaluation purposes by Deakin University staff and students.

Eighteenth Century Collections Online

138,000 English-language titles and editions published between 1701 and 1800 will be made available online over the course of the next two years.

America, Asia and the Pacific

This database comprises the digitized papers of Edward Sylvester Morse. They include diaries, correspondence, research files, drawings, lecture notes, publications, scrapbooks and manuscripts. Edward Sylvester Morse (1838-1925) is notable for his work in natural history, ethnography and art history – but, perhaps most famous for his work in bringing Japan and the West closer together.

China: Trade, Politics and Culture 1793-1980

This resource is based on substantial collections of unique manuscript materials held at the library of the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and the British Library in London, supplemented by additional sources from Cambridge University Library, the Church Missionary Society Archive, the Council for World Missions Library, Duke University, the National Archives at Kew, the Alexander Turnbull Library at the National Library of New Zealand and Yale Divinity Library.

This series covers Arab-Israeli Relations 1917-1970. It includes primary source documents from The National Archives, London including original source material from the Foreign Office, Colonial Office, War Office and Cabinet Papers.

This series covers Iraq 1914-1974. It includes primary source materials covering the political history of the Middle East in the 20th Century based on British Government and other files in the UK national archives. There is a broad range of original source material from the Foreign Office, Colonial Office, War Office and Cabinet Papers. Film clips, photographs and maps as well as written documents are included.
