Creating links to AustLII

You can create links to any material available via the AustLii database. It is possible to link to a number of different resources such as full text articles, case law and Acts of Parliament.

Linking to an article

1. Go to AustLII at: http://www.austlii.edu.au/
2. Type your keywords into the search box at the top of the screen OR click on the Law Journals link under the heading Projects on the left side of the page
3. Search or browse the journals for the article you want to create a link to
4. Once you have located the article, click on the link to the article
5. Copy the URL from your browser's address window
6. Paste the URL into your web or DSO page to create the link you require.

Linking to a Journal

1. Go to AustLII at: http://www.austlii.edu.au/
2. Type your keywords into the search box at the top of the screen OR click on the Law Journals link under the heading Projects on the left side of the page
3. Search or browse for the journal you want to create a link to
4. Once you have located the journal, click on the link to the journal
5. Copy the URL from your browser's address window
6. Paste the URL into your web or DSO page to create the link you require.

Linking to a case

1. Go to AustLII at: http://www.austlii.edu.au/
2. Type your keywords into the search box at the top of the screen OR click on a jurisdiction link under the Cases & Legislation heading on the left side of the page
3. Search or browse for the case you want to create a link to
4. Once you have located the case, click on the link to the case
5. Copy the URL from your browser's address window
6. Paste the URL into your web or DSO page to create the link you require.

Linking to an Act

1. Go to AustLII at: http://www.austlii.edu.au/
2. Type your keywords into the search box at the top of the screen OR click on a jurisdiction link under the Cases & Legislation heading on the left side of the page
3. Search or browse for the Act you want to create a link to
4. Once you have located the Act, click on the link to the Act
5. Copy the URL from your browser's address window
6. Paste the URL into your web or DSO page to create the link you require.

Linking to a section of an Act

1. Go to AustLII at: http://www.austlii.edu.au/
2. Type your keywords into the search box at the top of the screen OR click on a jurisdiction link under the Cases & Legislation heading on the left side of the page
3. Search or browse for the Act you want to create a link to
4. Once you have located the Act, click on the link to the Act
5. Click on the link for the section you want to create a link to (the section numbers in the Table of Provisions are links - eg. 6. )
6. Copy the URL from your browser's address window
7. Paste the URL into your web or DSO page to create the link you require.
