Creating links to full text articles and journals in Informit databases

You can create persistent links to articles or publications from the following Informit Plus Text databases:

  • A+ Education
  • Australian Public Affairs Full Text
  • AGIS Plus Text
  • Family and Society Plus

Articles or publications could be linked from reading lists, additional readings, or as a reference within text.


Creating a link to a full text article in an Informit database

  1. You must be on campus to create a persistent link. Once the link has been created, it will work either on or off campus.
  2. Connect to a database using one of the following links:

    A+ Education (http://search.informit.com.au/search;res=aeipt)
    Australian Public Affairs Full Text (http://search.informit.com.au/search;res=APAFT)
    AGIS Plus Text (http://search.informit.com.au/search;res=agispt)
    Family and Society Plus (http://search.informit.com.au/search;res=familypt)

  3. Check the "Full Text Records Only" box.
  4. Search for an article on the required topic.
  5. From the results list, select the required reference.
  6. Depending on the options present, click on Full text HTML or Full text PDF
  7. From the address bar, highlight and copy the URL
  8. Paste this URL
  9. Type the following prefix immediately in front of the URL:
    http://ezproxy.deakin.edu.au/login?url=
  10. Copy this URL and use it to link to the article from your webpage or DSO page.

Creating a link to a full text journal in an Informit database

  1. You must be on campus to create a persistent link. Once the link has been created, it will work either on or off campus.
  2. Connect to a database using one of the following links:

    A+ Education (http://search.informit.com.au/search;res=aeipt)
    Australian Public Affairs Full Text (http://search.informit.com.au/search;res=APAFT)
    AGIS Plus Text (http://search.informit.com.au/search;res=agispt)
    Family and Society Plus (http://search.informit.com.au/search;res=familypt)

  3. On the right side of the screen, click on Title List
  4. Click on a title. You may go a step further and click on a specific issue.
  5. From the address bar, highlight and copy the URL
  6. Paste this URL
  7. Type the following prefix immediately in front of the URL:
    http://ezproxy.deakin.edu.au/login?url=
  8. Copy this URL and use it to link to the article from your webpage or DSO page

Remember you can also create persistent links to individual titles via the e-journals link on the Library homepage.
