Borrowing print theses in the Deakin University Library on interlibrary loan

Deakin University higher degree by research students are required to deposit two copies of completed theses for the Deakin University Library. One copy of each thesis is usually available for loan, though some theses may have embargoes attached that restrict availability.

Requests from overseas libraries

Requests to borrow Deakin University theses from overseas libraries are handled through Interlibrary Loans.

Please note that in some instances, due to copyright compliance we may not be able to scan some theses. The option to purchase of a copy of the thesis may be offered at a cost.

Requests from Australian libraries

Requests for Deakin University theses from libraries within Australia are handled through Interlibrary Loans. Theses are loaned for 8 weeks with no renewal.

Cost is dependant on level of service in accordance with The Interlibrary Resource Sharing (ILRS) Code.

Payment

Requesters may pay by: Libraries Australia Document Delivery payments scheme; Cheque; Mastercard; Visa. An invoice may be included with item, or to follow.
