CAVAL borrowers

CAVAL borrowers are staff and students from other Victorian universities and TAFE institutes.

Membership includes:

  • in person borrowing from any campus library.
  • access to photocopiers, scanners, and assistance and support from Library staff.

Cost

Free membership. The expiry date of your registration with Deakin University Library will be the same as that date as the expiry date provided to the Library by your own institution library.

Registration:

  • You are required to register in the Reciprocal Borrowing Program at your own institution's library first, and you will be given a CAVAL card.

  • Complete application form and submit at any campus library. Provide current CAVAL card - obtained from your home library, and photo identification such as your drivers licence.

  • The expiry date of your registration with Deakin University Library will be the same as that date as the expiry date provided to the Library by your own institution library.

  • If you wish to continue your membership at our library after that date, you must have your CAVAL card re-authorised.

  • Access to Deakin University Library electronic resources, intercampus, interlibrary loans, off-air recordings, dvd's, videos,BONUS+, and eBooks, are not included with membership.
