Deakin University Library is open to members of the community. You are welcome to visit and enjoy the facilities. However, to borrow material you will need to buy a Library membership. Membership options are listed below.

Note: Membership is only available to individuals. Corporate/group/business membership is not available. Membership access to electronic resources is personal, and not to be shared with other individuals.

Membership options

Staff and students from other Australian universities, TAFEs and secondary schools

  • CAVAL membership - Staff and students of Victorian universities, and TAFEs

  • ULA membership - Staff and students of Australian universities

  • Secondary Schools - Australian secondary school students and staff.

  • Open University Australia students (OUA) - Deakin University Library can offer you a library membership as a Community Borrower, which includes borrowing and access to selected databases.

Deakin University graduates and former staff

  • Alumni - including those living overseas.

Non Deakin or other university, TAFE members

  • Community - available to members of the community.

International visitors
