Deakin University
The Deakin University Library is open to members of the community and you are welcome to visit and use the facilities. If you want to borrow material you will need to join the Library and membership is available to individuals through several different categories.
Once you have joined the Library you will be able to borrow in person from any of the four campus libraries, using your Library Borrowing card and may have access to selected online electronic resources depending on your membership category.
Membership access to electronic resources is personal, and not to be shared with other individuals.
Deakin University graduates and past staff are welcome to become Library members. Please see the Library Alumni Membership webpage for more information

Complete application form and submit at any campus library. Proof of current Australian address is required, such as a copy of your utility bill (e.g.,phone, power, rates, water), which includes your name and address, and photo identification such as your drivers licence.

Secondary school students complete an application form and submit at any campus library. Provide proof of enrolment at your school. If you are under 18 years of age, you will need to have your parent or guardian sign the application form.
Secondary school staff will need to complete an application form and submit at any campus library. Are welcome to become Library members upon proof of enrolment/employment at an overseas university.

If you are only living in Australia temporarily, some other form of photo identification must be provided, as well as proof of your temporary Australian address, and your permanent home (overseas) address. Australian staff and students from overseas institutions must provide proof of enrolment/employment and proof of your current address. Photo identification is also required.
