Electronic resources available to Community Borrowers

Access to these selected electronic resources are for individuals who have paid a Community Borrower library membership.

Please note:
  • Your membership will enable you to remotely access these databases from home.
  • Access to electronic resources is not guaranteed and is subject to change at any time.
  • Membership access to electronic resources is personal, non commercial, and not to be shared with other individuals.
You will need your Library Borrowing Number to use the electronic resources and a PIN (Personal Identification Number).
Once your membership has been processed you will receive your Library ID card, which includes your Library borrowing number starting x011..... (x zero 11....). You are able to create a PIN, when first logging in to an electronic resource.

Restrictions: All use of electronic resources subscribed to by Deakin University Library is for educational, research or personal use. Restrictions are displayed under 'Licensing and Resource Info' for the individual resource. Information must not be used for commercial purposes or re-sold in any way. Any copyright resides with the original author or publisher.

Australian Bureau of Statistics
AusStats is a web-based information service of the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). The ABS provides statistics on a wide range of economic and social matters, serving government, business and the general population.

Australian Institute of Health and Welfare
The AIHW is the national agency set up to provide information on Australia's health and welfare, through statistics and data development that inform discussion and decisions on policy and services.

Australian local government guide
Publisher description: The Local Guide to Government contains detailed listing of local councils throughout Australia. Included are contact details as well as a range of other useful information such as council expenditure/budgets, population, emergency services and regional industry.

Directory of Australian Associations
Publisher description: With more than 5,500 entries the Directory of Australian Associations covers national and state associations, foundations, marketing bodies, institutes and committees. Also included are international associations with branches in Australia.

Gale CenGage
Gale CenGage is the searching interface for these databases: Academic Onefile, Computer Database, Expanded Academic ASAP, Health Reference Center Academic, LegalTrac.

Margaret Gee's Australian Media Guide
Publisher description: The Media Guide contains contact listings for all print and electronic media (including Internet media) as well as circulation figures, publication details and base advertising rates.

National Guide to Government
Publisher description: Everything you need to know about government at federal and state levels. Containing detailed listings of the Senate, Parliamentary departments and Cabinet and Shadow ministries, the National Guide to Government provides easy access to all key contacts in Government.

Who's Who in Australia
Publisher description: The complete reference guide to prominent Australians and Australian businesses.

Who's Who In Business in Australia
Publisher's description: The complete biographical reference guide to prominent Australians and Australian businesses. Also includes Who's Who of Australian Women and the State Editions.

Who's Who of Australian Women
Publisher's description: Who’s Who of Australian Women pays tribute to the many inspiring female leaders throughout Australian society. The title was created to honour the lives and achievements of women from a diverse range of endeavours; from community service to business leaders and everything in between.
